Lori M. Prosio is a vice president with Katz & Associates. She provides strategic guidance to the firm's Northern California based clients and leads business development and management activities for the firm's Sacramento office. With more than 13 years of communication experience, Lori has directed and implemented communication programs at the local, regional, state and international level. She currently oversees public awareness programs for several of the firm’s regional and statewide accounts, including the Sacramento Metropolitan Air Quality Management District, the California Department of Motor Vehicles, the California Department of Water Resources and Caltrans.
Experienced in research, community outreach and public awareness strategies, Lori has experience overseeing communication campaigns designed to educate and inform residents and consumers about high-profile and highly controversial projects, including issues that address water conservation and water quality, air quality and vehicle emissions, consumer protection, and the environmental impacts of construction and transportation related projects. An experienced writer, Lori regularly drafts and edits letters to the editor, newsletter articles, news releases, brochures and other informational materials for the firm’s clients. Skilled in various aspects of opinion research, Lori also develops research programs designed to identify key issues and concerns in communities throughout the state.
Prior to joining Katz & Associates, Lori was the corporate communication director for a privately held international technology firm where she directed all marketing and public relations activities for the company and served as the company spokesperson. Her career started in Sacramento more than 12 years ago while working for another local communication firm where she managed several award winning multi-million dollar social marketing and consumer advertising and public relations campaigns for clients in the health care, entertainment, construction and financial services industries.
Lori has a Bachelor of Arts degree in communication studies from California State University, Sacramento and a Masters of Business Administration in management from California State University, Dominguez Hills. She has served on several boards and industry alliances.
